Here is Where we will tell you about the Dogs we have helped.

CHESNEY - Chesney is a two year old chocolate Lab with a diagnosis of blastomycosis, a fungus related skin disease,  Her prognosis was good with aggressive drug therapy, but fatal without.  The owner qualified for our maximum grant of $400.00 and we have been advised by the vet that progress has been made and that Chesney will survive.

MAX – Max is an 11 year old male Australian Shepard.  He was diagnosed with a fatal autoimmune disease causing severe anemia.  His prognosis was poor without long-term aggressive treatment.  The owner qualified for a $400 grant from the Foundation. After treatment at VSR he was referred to Cornell Veterinary Hospital where the cause was isolated.  Max will require long term therapeutic treatment.  Max is greatly improved and the prognosis is now good.

OTIS – Otis is a two year old male Great Dane diagnosed with acute chronic ulcerative colitis. His condition was treatable with drug therapy and fatal without. The owner did not qualify for a grant, however, due to a
temporary financial hardship of the owner, the Foundation provided a loan to cover the procedures. Otis has done well, his diarrhea is under control and
he is gaining weight and will survive. The owner later repaid the loan and made a donation to the Jake Foundation.
